Respect for Nature

Since Cappadocia is a nature reserve and on the UNESCO World Heritage List, it is extremely important for us that Cappadox and its visitors respect and protect nature. Many thanks in advance for your cooperation and awareness.

Weather

Cappadocia has a continental climate. There is a significant difference in temperature between day and night and under the sun and in the shadow.

The festival is in May, which is still spring, so some rain and wind is a possibility, we recommend you come prepared just in case.

Comfort and Safety in Choice of Clothing

In terms of protection from the sun you need to bring along what you would to a beach holiday (suntan lotion, sunglasses, hat etc.) we also recommend that you throw in some lip and skin moisturizer for the dry weather.

Due to the climate and the high altitude nights and early mornings can be quite nippy in Cappadocia so pack something suitable (coat, hoody, light sweater) to keep you warm during the events at these times.

As the day goes on the weather can get quite a lot warmer so we recommend you dress in alternative layers of thick and light clothing.

We suggest you wear trainers with good grip or trekking shoes to prevent slipping during hikes and climbs. Having the right footwear with you will allow you to have a safer experience and move about freely in all events and concert sites.

Comfort and Safety at Cappadox Events

Concerts

+    Except for the Argos Museum concerts, all concerts will be held in open air with the audience standing. Comfortable clothing is recommended for the concerts.

Hikes & Biking

We would like to remind you that some caution is needed while doing these activities. The landscape of Cappadocia is challenging and you need to mind your head going into caves and tunnels, watch out for cracks in the ground while walking, and tread carefully when walking over the slippery natural rock formations which can easily crumble.

You do have to watch your step as you walk in Cappadocia and keeping your hands out of your pockets can be essential for maintaining your balance and if you bring a bag with you, a backpack is obviously preferable. You may also want to bring a walking stick for trekking.

You need to be physically fit and in good health. Preparing for this event properly is highly recommended and will allow you to enjoy it more.

We suggest you don’t consider Love Valley Nature Walk if you suffer from vertigo or, if you are over 65 years.

Bicycle rental fee is included in our valley cycle event’s price this year. However, you can also bring your own bike to the biking events.

+    Protective gear such as helmets, knee and elbow pads are not provided at biking events. Please bring your own protective gear with you for a safer festival experience.

+    We recommend a light breakfast before taking part in hikes, jogging and biking activities in order to prevent health problems and injuries.

+    Hiking and  biking participants need to be at the registration stand at Uçhisar Square 45 minutes before the event.

Yoga & Meditation
+    Please bring your own mats, towels and other materials you will need for the yoga and meditation activities.

Warnings
+    No smoking is allowed at open air events and in any indoor spaces.
+    We ask you to keep your phones switched off or in silent mode during events so as not to disturb the enjoyment of others.
+    You will be able to buy food and drink at the festival site, but festival goers are not allowed to bring their own no food and drink inside.
+    You will not be able to enter the festival site with sound and video recording devices (video camera, camera, voice recorder, interchangeable lens handycam etc).

Age Restrictions

+ Children over 7 years of age will need a ticket to attend the events.

+ Children under 7 years of age cannot attend walking events (Valley Walks, Guided Exhibition Tour).

+ Children under 7 years old of age cannot attend yoga and meditation events.

+ Children under 12 years of age cannot attend cycling events. Children who are between 12 to 18 years old who request a child's bicycle should notify their demand to info@cappadox.com beforehand due to limited availability.

+ Children under the 18 years of age cannot attend the gastronomy events (Gourmet Tasting, Open Fire Cooking).
+  Ticket holders of Çiftlik Ev +1 Stage events who are under 18 will need to be accompanied by their parents, who must also hold a ticket of the same event.

+ Participants under the age of 18 cannot attend the events in Fairy Poets Valley Volkswagen Stage and Argos Vadi.

Health
+    Make sure you drink enough water to avoid heat stroke and dehydration.

The farthest point in Cappadocia lasts 20 minutes.

Are the dates for the 2024 event set? When will they be?

This year, Cappadox will take place between May 23rd - 26th.

Cappadox has chosen Uçhisar and Göreme in Cappadocia as the festival site for this year.

How will I get to the festival area?

There will be shuttle services between Uçhisar Meydan and Göreme Meydan to Cappadox, and also shuttle service will be provided to the areas outside this range. We ask our participants to check if there’s a shuttle for the event they want to attend. All the details can be found in our web site and mobile application.

How will I plan my accomodation and reservations?

Accommodation and travel plans should be made by the participants themselves.

Where can I stay in Cappadocia?

Cappadocia is a highly developed region touristically. There are hotels and hostels for every budget around settlements like Uçhisar, Göreme, Avanos, Ürgüp and Ortahisar.

If the participants who will travel by car stay at hotels around Ürgüp, Göreme, Avanos and Ortahisar they can easily experience our festival.

When will the tickets be on sale?

Cappadox package tickets and single event tickets are on sale at Biletix.

What are the ticket prices for events?

The prices chance according to the event. Also they can vary according to quantity. Cappadox Voyager, Explorer, Passenger and Challenger packs offer more advantageous prices than single ticket purchases.

What are the discount options for tickets?

Yapı Kredi Crystal card holders can use a special discount of 25%. Other Yapı Kredi card holders can benefit from a 20% discount.*

If you purchase 10 or more tickets, a 10% discount can be applied to your shopping cart at the checkout*

*Combining different campaigns and discounts is not possible.

Do you have a tour plan?

We don’t have an accomodation and travel pack for Cappadox. You’ll need to plan your own trip.

We would like to take part in Cappadox X discipline with my group. Can you supply information about conditions of participation?

Cappadox program for this year is finalized. We hope that we can work together in the years to come. Thank you for your interest. You can always contact us on info@pozitif.com for your suggestions.

Can we camp at Cappadox?

Cappadox doesn’t have a camping spot. But there are suitable places for camping around Uçhisar, Göreme and Avanos, where Cappadox events take place.

How will eating and drinking be handled at the festival area?

There will be a ‘Street Food’ court, as well as local producers’ food stands very close to Uçhisar Meydan, which is also the center and meeting point of Cappadox.

Also ‘Open Fire in Nature’ and ‘Gourmet Tastings’ events in Cappadox program offers a unique gastronomy experience.

For other suggestions, you can check out the recommended places on our web site’s and mobile application’s ‘Suggestions’ section.

The pets are not allowed in the covered event areas.

Are there any health precautions?

We warn all our participants on weather forecast, weather conditions and allergens before Cappadox. Also there is a medical team ready at Cappadox events in case of emergencies. Can I bring my camera or video recorder to the events?

It is forbidden to enter the festival area with professional audio and visual recording equipment (video recorder, camera, audio recorder, lens changable camera) and take visuals according to artists’ authorisations.

The festival has no age limits. However, every single event has their own unique rules. Please check them from Cappadox.com and Biletix.

Yes, all the participants can attend the event with their own bicycles. However, the bicycle rental fee is included in our valley cycle event’s price this year.

Are there any vegetarian and vegan foods?

Yes, you can find suitable food in our festival.

What should I wear in Cappadox? What should I take with me?

Bringing protective sunscreen, sun glasses and a hat, in order to be protected from the sun during the day, and windbreaker and clothes to keep you warm for the events that will take place in sunrise and evenings, will help you have a more comfortable and enjoyable festival experience.

For nature walks you should prefer jagged, light sport shoes and trekking shoes, and selecting comfortable, non-slippery, flat shoes for all the events will help you for a safer experience.

What is the weather forecast?

We won’t be able to give you an accurate forecast for now but you can track it on our website and mobile application.

In May, the weather of Cappadocia is very unsteady. Is there any back up plan in case of storm and rain?

All Cappadox events are held in all kinds of weather conditions. For this reason, we recommend you to have clothes and accessories to protect yourself against any weather conditions.

However, the locations and times of events can be changed for our participants to be protected from adverse weather conditions. We recommend that you keep notifications of our mobile app turned on.

Is there internet in the festival area?

There is no Wi-Fi internet in the festival area.

Last year some parts of the festival area didn’t have cell phone coverage. Do you have solutions for this?

GSM signal strengthening operations are being carried out for mobile communication. We are adapting to whatever the nature of Cappadocia allows. However, you will be able to use our offline map on our mobile application during the festival.

In what ways can I make my program?

You can choose among ID.Voyager, Crystal Explorer, +1 Challenger packs, or single event tickets while purchasing Cappadox tickets. The participants who purchased single event tickets can use the calendar on our mobile application or create a basket on Biletix.

Can I include events that are not covered in the program?

If the ticket sales are continuing, you can purchase tickets from ‘Info Points’ or Biletix for the events that are not included in your selected program.

Early booking is very important as most of our events have limited capacity.

During the festival, if I decide not to attend an event I selected, will I be able to attend a different event instead?

Unfortunately, it’s not possible to return or exchange tickets. If the ticket sales are continuing for the events you want to attend, you can purchase tickets from ‘Info Points’ during Cappadox.

Will you be there to assist us during the festival?

Yes, you can receive any information from Info Points.

Do I have to download the application?

Cappadox mobile application is designed to make your experience more enjoyable and comfortable. You can receive general information on Cappadocia and Cappadox, as well as surprise pop-up events and news on Cappadox mobile application.

What shall I do if I can’t reach you on the phone before or during the festival?

We’ll answer all your questions instantly on our Instagram account before and during the festival. Also, you can receive information from Info Points during the festival.

Is there a hospital or institution in case there’s a medical emergency?

You can reach all this information on our website’s and mobile application’s ‘Important Information’ section.

It’s not clear yet if one of my friends will come. If he/she comes, I want him/her to attend the same events with me. Will it be possible?

If the ticket sales for the event continues, you can purchase tickets from Info Points during Cappadox. But unfortunately for the sold out tickets we won’t be able to help you due to capacity limits.

What are the advantages of buying a pack and why are they so expensive?

ID.Voyager Pack is created for those who want to experience Cappadox fully, comfortably and freely. The ID.Voyager Pack offers participation opportunity to all the events and also it’s the only one that offers attendance to some of the unique and limited capacity events.

We have created Crystal Explorer Pack for those who want to experience Cappadox with their own selections. Picking among the options offered in this pack, the participants will organize their own program. The options are designed for a balanced Cappadox experience.

+1 Challenger Pack energizes yourself with an extraordinary nature challenge and offers the participants to attend 5 music events.

I’ve purchased ID.Voyager Pack but some of the events are missing. Why?

Cappadox Packs are prepared according to the notes that our participants delivered to us last year. All packs feature different events. Our packs have been crafted through Cappadox experiences of our participants with various ages, styles and priorities.
