MAYA PEREST

Drawing inspiration from the universal language of music, Maya Perest is a singer-songwriter who blends elements of Anatolian music with world music. She started to record her first songs with the recording device gifted by her mother, learned to play the piano, and continued to compose music. After her move to Montpellier for college education, Maya Perest experienced a nomadic life filled with music while studying philosophy of art. She released her first single, “Yok Bana Bu Cihanda”, instantly caught attention in the music scene. Collaborating with artists such as Cihan Mürtezaoğlu, Tarkan Gözbüyük and Okan Kaya, Maya Perest continues to create music and perform with the intention to expand her music journey to other parts of the world.
