Kemal Rasool’s one man project Flamingods based on the eight hour improv session back in 2010, has evolved to a musical union with multiple members. Bahrain and London centered concept sprouting from a multicultural idea, Flamingods compositions has Krutrock and free jazz elements on an experimental approach. The collective’s last album Majesty received critical acclaim, and just like their live performances at prominent festivals. Fighting back the rising nationalist tendencies around the globe, they are pushing the limits of creativity with dance, psychology and folklore borrowed from all over the world.
