The main feature of the Güvercinlik (Pigeon) Valley Valley Walk is the opportunity it gives you to see up close the remarkable sight of the tens of thousands of pigeon houses that have been carved out of the rocks stone by the locals of Cappadocia. This is perhaps the largest area of dovecotes in the world so why not join us for the experience?

Features

*Walk sets off from Uçhisar, passes through Güvercinlik Valley and ends at Göreme.

*We follow the land road and go down into the valley, the pathway is quite easy to walk on;

*We visit the largest dovecote area and caves;

*We climb to Göreme, reaching the Yusuf Koç Church;

Beginning hour: 15:00

Trail length: 4 km.

Ground: Soft and rugged.

Duration: 180 minutes

Be at Uçhisar Info/Shuttle Point 30 min before the walk begins.

There will be a shuttle back to Uçhisar Cappadox Info Point at the end of the walk.

Come prepared

* As long as you are in good health you will have no difficulty with the walk, although you may wish to get into better shape beforehand to make it easier to focus more on the view and less on the physical effort.

*You should wear a trekking shoe.

* All ages are welcome.  However, we suggest you don’t consider this walk if you are over 65 and not in good shape.

Note

*Ticket prices will change according to indoor sales, on festival dates June, 14-19.

- Children over 6 years old will be needing a ticket to attend the events
- Ticket holders below 18 years old, will need to be accompanied by their parents holding a ticket from the same event.
- Children under 6 years old can not attend outdoor events. 
-Children under 12 years old can not attend cycling events. 
-Children under 8 years old can not attend Valley Walk and Valley Run events.
